Identifying CSAM
Understanding the legal and ethical boundaries of digital content is a part of the recovery process. Many individuals who enter our sexual addiction rehabilitation center have struggled to differentiate between problematic habits and criminal behaviors. Identifying these boundaries helps a person take full ownership of their actions.
Common Characteristics of CSAM
CSAM often involves depictions of minors in sexualized situations or engaging in sexual acts. The digital nature of modern media means that this material is often hidden within larger collections of pornography or accessed through specific online subcultures.
As part of our child pornography addiction treatment, we provide a Sexual Behavior Risk Assessment (SBRA). This evaluation helps identify the specific patterns of use and the degree of risk involved. This data is helpful for current clinical care and can assist in providing accurate reports for legal professionals or ongoing care providers.
