Finding a New Beginning: Residential Recovery Outside of Texas

Sex Addiction Treatment Serving Texas Residents

Texas is large enough that people assume distance can be found inside it. In practice, the job, the phone and the same set of triggers travel with you from Houston to Austin without changing much. Paradise Creek Recovery Center in Malta, Idaho offers a genuine break from all of it.
Stepping away from the daily pressures of home creates the space that deep personal work requires. Our program is built on a clinical principle rather than a marketing one. A real change of setting, paired with a plan designed for this specific behavior, is what makes recovery hold.

The Foundation of Comprehensive Residential Care

Residential Rehab, Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Care for Lasting Recovery

Paradise Creek is a dedicated residential program for sexual and pornography addiction, not a large facility where this is one track among many. You commit six weeks or longer to focused clinical work in a small community, supported by staff who treat this presentation every day.
We work with adults whose lives have been disrupted by problematic sexual behavior, including pornography addiction and compulsive online use. Our integrated approach to healing uses specialized modalities to support your recovery:
  • Individual Psychotherapy: Focused one to one sessions that get past the behavior to what is driving it, guided by frameworks including Dr. Patrick Carnes' 30 Task Model.
  • Group Psychotherapy: Daily peer sessions where accountability is genuine and the brain science of sexual addiction is taught in plain terms.
  • Holistic Wellness: Experiential groups, structured fitness and mindfulness practice that build the coping skills the behavior has been substituting for.

What Sets Our Treatment Center Apart

Experience Comprehensive Healing at Our Malta, Idaho Residential Center

Texas residents travel to our secluded treatment center at 2666 ID-81, Malta, ID 83342 for a fully immersive program built to interrupt the daily cycle and give the clinical work somewhere to take root.

Residential Treatment

Step out of Houston, Dallas, Austin or San Antonio and into a quiet campus bordered by Sawtooth National Forest. Care runs around the clock, so there is no commute back to the same house and the same laptop between sessions. For many Texas clients, the change of pace alone is significant.

Multiple Daily One-on-One & Group Therapy Sessions

Your days are structured around therapy rather than fitted around a job. Individual and group sessions run throughout the day, so insight from the morning gets tested in the afternoon. That cadence is what moves people who have spent years in weekly outpatient care without much shifting.

5-Star-Rated Home-Cooked Meals

Three home-cooked meals a day, prepared on site and served family style. Clients rate the food five stars. The shared table also does something clinical, because eating with other people at set times restores a rhythm that active addiction quietly erodes long before anyone notices.

Great Camaraderie & a Community Built for Healing

Executives, physicians and business owners often arrive convinced that nobody in their circle carries anything similar. Six weeks alongside people with the same history dismantles that belief, and those relationships frequently become the backbone of recovery once you are home in Texas.

Individual, Couples & Family Work

This does not stay contained to the person doing it. Alongside individual therapy we offer couples and family work, including a four-day intensive in Logan, Utah, so your partner receives clinical attention for their own trauma rather than being folded into your support plan.

Relapse Prevention Training

You leave with a written plan, not a resolution. We map your specific triggers, build device and travel protocols for a life that likely involves plenty of both, name your accountability contacts and define what the first ninety days back in Texas actually look like.

Trauma & EMDR Therapy

Compulsive sexual behavior usually sits on top of something older that was never processed. Our licensed therapists use EMDR alongside Neuro-Feedback and Biofeedback to help the nervous system work through it, so the behavior loses the function it has quietly been performing for years.

Exercise, Fitness & Experiential Groups

Structured fitness, guided hikes and outdoor experiential groups take full advantage of the surrounding Idaho wilderness. This is not scheduled downtime. For most clients it is where emotional regulation stops being a concept discussed in group and becomes something the body can actually do.

Healing the Core: Trauma, Brain Science, and Attachment

Comprehensive Sexual Addiction Treatment Programs and Services

In our clinical experience, problematic sexual behavior is rarely the original problem. It generally builds on unresolved distress, attachment injury or trauma that was never given room to be processed, which is why deep trauma work sits at the center of our program rather than at the edge of it.

Key elements of our approach include:

EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
Used to treat trauma directly, helping the brain reprocess painful memories so they carry less charge and stop driving current behavior.
Neuro-Feedback and Biofeedback Treatment
These therapies regulate the nervous system and support brain plasticity, which is central to managing anxiety, cravings and the emotional volatility that usually appears before a relapse.
We also support relational repair, because the damage in a marriage is real and does not disappear the moment the behavior stops. Our four-day couples intensive in Logan, Utah gives partners a structured setting to ask the hard questions and begin rebuilding trust.

Program Structures for Individual Needs

Flexible and Structured Program Lengths

We offer more than one program length because clinical need varies, and we will recommend the option your situation calls for rather than the shortest one you would agree to.
  • Required 6-Week Program ($32,790): Includes all treatment modalities and a private room. This is the required minimum for clients seeking child pornography addiction treatment or addressing other online offenses alongside legal matters.
  • Extended Care Program: A longer-term option of 90 to 120 days, valuable for clients who need more time to establish healthy attachment before returning home.
We also provide a comprehensive Sexual Behavior Risk Assessment, producing clinical documentation frequently requested by Texas attorneys, courts and employers in matters involving divorce, custody or allegations of sexual misconduct.
